Some fun with EchoNest’s Remix API. A selection of pop songs are stripped of every beat but the first one of each bar, i.e. 1234 1234 1234 becomes 1 1 1. Including “Amber” by 311, “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga, and “Angel Echoes” by Four Tet.
A variation: reversing the order of the beats of the operatic middle section of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody."
